Judge Comment Guidelines

One of the main requests we receive from our teams is for comments and feedback from you, our judges, for all events. We love to be able to provide your positive and constructive feedback, so when providing written feedback, please remember the following:

 – Use the “Sandwich” approach – insert suggestions for improvement or critiques between two positive comments.

– Be specific – clearly address the issue and offer a suggestion for improvement

 – If something impressed you, mention it.

 – How you phrase your evaluation has an equal or greater impact than the content of your evaluation. Carefully select your words and use words that describe your own reaction – “I was confused about”, “I liked it when”

 – Try not to repeat a point once you have made it.

 – Conclude your comments on a positive note that helps build self-esteem and self-confidence.

Does all this sound awesome? Find out more.
