The 2022 International SeaPerch Challenge

The 2022 SeaPerch Season is bound to be an exciting one! Much like the vacuum of space the underwater environment presents many technical challenges teams will be expected to face. To be clear, we are not sending SeaPerch ROVs into space! The space environment should be used as inspiration for your designs and a fun context for the mission course.

More details on the 2022 International SeaPerch Challenge will be released on October 8, 2021.

International Challenge Teams:

Technical Design Report is a required event for all teams.

Objective: Communicate your intentional design process.

Reports may be focused on a SeaPerch ROV designed for the 2021 SeaPerch Mission pool course or for a real-world application. The application for your SeaPerch should be clearly described in the “Task Overview” section of your report. Teams that are unable to build their SeaPerch may describe the approach that they would have taken or plan to take in the future.

Options:

– Focus on a SeaPerch ROV designed for the 2021 SeaPerch Mission pool course

– Focus on a SeaPerch ROV designed for a real-world application
